Three Thirteen is our blend using three of the thirteen varietals traditionally permitted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape (CdP). Ours includes Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache, in nearly equal proportions. Each was uniquely vinified and aged until a month prior to bottling when the blend was created. The macerations ranged from 17 days for the Grenache to 25 days for the Syrahs. All fermentations were natural. The Fenaughty Syrah included approximately 4% Fenaughty Viognier which was co-fermented. We are thrilled with the results and eagerly anticipate a Four Thirteen, Five Thirteen, and so on.

The nose exudes strawberries, cherries, herbs, lavender, and spice with earthy undertones. This medium bodied wine is exceptionally harmonious and structured and finishes with round, soft tannins that leave a lingering memory. It will show best if left opened for a few hours or if decanted and should drink well for the next 5-10 years.
