With our fall 2009 release we debut a slightly different name (Donkey & Goat) and an entirely new look. It was no small feat to move onward without our quirky label (conceived by our good friends and local Bay Area artists).
But as Thoreau said, “Things do not change, we do.” It is fair to say that Jared and I have changed since 2003 when we returned from a year in France and laid plans for this winemaking journey. We’ve certainly come a long way from that garage in San Francisco and I suppose it’s time our label caught up.

Santé!

Our label was brought to life by Jane Fisher and Colin Frangos after hearing us explain that trained donkeys provide organic week control in French vineyards. Goats are companion animals that balance the hardworking donkeys.
We (Tracey and Jared Brandt, the hands behind the label) believe balance is crucial in wine, in partnership and in life.
