WINEMAKER DINNER: Tuesday May 27, 6:30pm at The Port Land Grille, Wilmington, NC
1908 Eastwood Road, 910-256-6056

We love getting out for winemaker dinners. It is hugely gratifying to have world class chefs match their creations to our wines. And even better to share the experience with our friends and fans in such an intimate setting that allows real conversation while appreciating the food, wine and company. Our dinner at The Port Land Grille is particularly special. I (Tracey) am from North Carolina . I graduated from Broughton High School in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I suspect my teachers, professors and fellow students might be surprised to discover I am a maker of wine. I'm not sure what they would have pegged me for (when last seen at college I was headed to Australia for a year to backpack and figure out this thing we call life) but am pretty sure winemaker would not have been on the list.

OUR WISH: For you to join us in what promises to be an unforgettable evening where our handcrafted artesian wines (made using natural & sustainable practices) will be exquisitely paired with Chef Shawn’s culinary creations. We will showcase:

2006 Three Thirteen, a southern Rhone style blend of Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache

2006 The Recluse, our extreme cool climate syrah from the Broken Leg Vineyard in the Anderson Valley which is called The Recluse in 2006 to give credit to the brown recluse spider that bit Jared on a pre-harvest vineyard check

2006 Brosseau Vineyard Chardonnay WITH our 2005 Brosseau Vineyard Chardonnay for a compare/contrast and to show guests how our distinctively acidic Chardonnay ages.

2007 Isabel's Cuvee Grenache Rose, our wildly popular, lip smacking rose that shouts the arrival of spring

DETAILS: Reception begins at 6:30pm and dinner will be served at 7pm. This six course dinner, including our four wines, is $90 plus tax & gratuity. Plus, Shawn and Anne are known to share something bubbly to start and sweet to end. Space is extremely limited; reserve a seat now at 910-256-6056 or at www.portlandgrille.com.
