In the 1800's people rushed to the hills for gold. We rushed to the El Dorado hills for Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Roussanne, Counoise and other obscure Rhône varietals.
With granitic soils, elevations pushing up to 3000 feet, warm days and very cool nights we think
we've found one super star appellation for all things Rhône. Plus, up here we have Ron Mansfield
(who grows the best peaches on the planet) tending our vines. |
